Canon 50d Review - Read Before You Buy

So you want to buy the Canon 50d digital photography camera.. Join the club. After taking my first few shots, the terms "Wow!", "Beautiful!", and "Amazing!" came up very quickly from me and the people that were with me. Let's get right to it.
Note: I also have a great resource that you can get it dirt cheap, check below after you've read the review if you want to get hooked up.
Why Buy the Canon 50d?
This 50d has been a giant upgrade from the 40d and 20d. Canon has really outdone themselves. The quality is so much more superior to the 50d's so-called competitors. The other companies are gonna have to pull something amazing to keep up with this.
It's a great professional and amateur camera to add versatility
The 50d handles color way better than the predecessors and has an amazing LCD view. The camera body is solid and comes with an absolutely great lens. It's just vastly superior to any competition such as Nikon. Canon really stands up to their expectations.
Am I better off going with another camera?
No - not for the price. For the price this is simply an amazing deal. I personally haven't seen any camera with the same caliber that is so relatively inexpensive. This really is a great deal. Canon's have always usually had pretty good products for the money, but this surpasses all the other prior Canon deals I've come across. This is a truly professional camera.
Where can I get the best deal on the Canon 50d?
I got mine from a place that was selling them wholesale. They may still have some left, you can check it out.

Canon EOS 50D 15.1 - Megapixel APS-C CMOS Camera

Canon - known for their quality products - has released another amazing camera - the EOS 50D. Like all of their cameras, this model improves upon any of the missing features or flaws in earlier models. If you liked the 40D, you will love the 50D as it is packed with everything a photographer could need.
Like many other Canons, the EOS 50D would typically be used by intermediate to advanced users. Amateur or beginners may find this camera a bit intimidating, as there are a number of features, and functions, that most beginners do not use.
The 15.1-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor improves the resolution and allows for a much wider range in ISO settings. ISO settings, on the 50D, now range from 100 to 3,200. With additional technology and advanced bonus features, ISO settings can actually be expanded to 12,800 (H1: 6,400, H2: 12,800).
Some features present in the 50D that were nonexistent in the 40D, are vignette correction, Automatic Lighting Optimizer with three levels, adjustable noise reduction, a Creative Auto mode, a lens micro adjustment function, and face detection autofocus in Live View mode.
The Canon also includes features such as 6.3fps continuous shooting, DIGIC 4 processor, 9-point wide area AF, EOS Integrated Cleaning System, HDMI connectivity, and full compatibility with EF, EF-S, and EX-series Speedlites lenses. Overall performance, on the 50D, is amazing with the integration of the DIGIC 4 processor. This technology also increases the overall resolution of images.
There is a 3.0" Clear View VGA LCD display on the EOS 50D. Live View mode and Face Detection Live AF have been tightly integrated, into the display, to make for a more realistic experience. The LCD screen displays images at a 920,000-dot resolution - experience pure vibrancy. The screen is protected, with a protective coating, from fingerprints, dirt, glare, and scratches.
With measurements of 5.7 x 4.2 x 2.9-inches, and weighing in just under two pounds, the EOS 50D fits comfortably in your hands. Buttons, menus, and different functions are easily accessible with its ergonomic design. (The weight will vary based on the lens that you have attached to the camera; weight shown here is with no lens attached.)
The Canon EOS 50D sells for around $1,399 depending what discounts you can find. This price is for the camera and basic accessories only. Kits, or packages, are available, at a higher price, with different lenses as well.
Consumers who are familiar with Canon products, especially the 40D, will have no problem adjusting to this new model. The 50D is nearly the same model as the 40D, with a few technological advancements and functionality improvements. The 50D is a great addition to a photographer's collection of cameras. Whether you are taking portfolio or family pictures, you will be impressed with the high quality images this camera produces.
